Hey there! I am on a new journey. Well, I’ve always been on a weight loss journey but this time I feel like I found something that isn’t just part of losing weight but also helps tremendously with bad habits. Noom’s goal is to help you overcome those bad habits by becoming more aware of them and the expert (which we will get more into a bit) will help you create better ones.
As stated I have tried plenty of weight loss programs but it’s always a yo-yo for me . I gain, I lose, I gain..etc . and I also get bored very easily so I wanted to try something else and I was introduced to Noom. I thought at first “oh no not another weight loss program where they make you pay and you get nothing but recipes. NOPE! It’s nothing like that. Well, you do get recipes but that is not all, you get way more than that. Definitely get more than what you pay for and then some! You ready for my favorites of the app? Let me share!
They get personal
I am a busy mom so I don’t have time to go to meetings or the gym to speak to anybody about what I should and should not eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, having kids is not exactly perfect with scheduling. It’s all over the place. So the Noom site helps you do everything you need to in under 10 minutes! When you begin the Noom journey you are first take a quiz to get your customized plan. That is where they decide what is right for you! Not anyone else..JUST YOU! You get an expert to also motivate you and help you along the way. Super easy. You get the app and say you’re out and about and need some advice just message them and they will get back to you! The whole behavior and lifestyle change program is what makes this app different and I love it!
No strict diet
There is no strict diet in this. They actually have some recipes that I’ve seen before and thought they would be a huge NO NO in my other weight loss programs but here you can pretty much eat whatever and just have to see for yourself your calorie intake. The app let’s you scan or type in what you are eating and share the calories for you and give you the number of calories you have left.
It also shows you what foods are a green (good) yellow and red (food color system) just so you are aware of how much of that certain food you are eating but you’re to have foods of each color every day! Awesome right? You don’t need a special shake or pill on this app either. I love this because I like choosing what food I want to eat each day but I also have a health expert who can help me make better choices or simply see how should I portion size each meal.
It has a tracker!
It counts your steps! If you have a fit bit or anything else along those line they are most likely going to sync with Noom. I love that too. I am always on the go so I love seeing the number go up (makes me feel like I am winning money or something!) haha.
It also has a section where you put in your own Exercise. For example I am on a whole sit up journey again so I have been logging that in as well as playing soccer with my daughter. I love how my energy is back and how this weight loss program keeps me in check to keep moving 😉

Overall, I feel healthier (which is a plus) and yes I have lost weight! woot woot! In a week I felt completely different IN A GOOD WAY! Noom is like a best friend that is with me always and keeps me in a good moody and keep me in check! I highly recommend you take this Quiz and try it out for yourself.
